In 2016 over 3500 women from the island of Ireland travelled to Great Britain to access abortion services.
For women from Galway this could mean a long journey of over 454km to Marie Stopes International in Manchester.
In a show of solidarity with these women, members of Galway City Roller Derby will skate a total of this distance between them on May 12th at Salthill Prom.
