Oliver Cole and Claire Coogan Cole pen a single to urge people to vote Yes on May 25th
All proceeds for the pay-as-you-go single go to Together for Yes
Oliver Cole has released a pay-what-you-want single today with all proceeds going to Together for Yes.
The single ‘These City Lights’ is a song for the removal of the 8th Amendment, a song for hope, and a song for compassion. The song was written by Oliver Cole and Claire Cogan Cole, and features Ham Sandwich’s Niamh Farrell.
Oliver says “This song “These City Lights” was written and recorded to help raise awareness for the upcoming referendum on repealing the 8th Amendment. The song looks at the issue from the perspective of a couple who find themselves having to travel to the UK to access safe medical care.”
“We get to see from their point of view how this feels and how it impacts them personally,” he continues.
“The song is a duet as I really wanted to represent both the male and female viewpoint in a realistic and sympathetic way.”
