Posters outside Maternity Hospitals disrespectful – Together for Yes
Together For Yes believes that graphic posters which have been displayed outside main maternity hospitals over the past number of days are disrespectful and concerning.
Spokesperson Sarah Monaghan said: “Together For Yes is concerned about the appearance of graphic posters outside maternity hospitals in recent days. They are inappropriate and disrespectful, particularly to women experiencing crisis pregnancies.
“We note the acknowledgment by the No campaign that the posters are wrong and unhelpful. We urge everyone to remember that while this is a referendum campaign, real women and their families are at the heart of this public debate. Therefore there is a responsibility on all campaigners to be mindful of the sensitivities that exist, and that extends to campaign materials.”
