Figures given by those who argue for the 8th in relation to abortion on disability grounds in other countries are not useful as the laws are too different. In Britain there is a specific ground in legislation allowing access to abortion on the basis of any foetal disability without time limit. Nothing comparable is proposed here and abortion in cases of disability will not be permitted.
